Intro to Fly Fishing
This trip is a four-hour outing at an easily accessible public lake roughly 30 minutes north of Colorado Springs. It is designed to teach the basic principles of fly fishing on still water and is our most affordable trip. Clients can expect to catch stocked rainbow trout, and some warm water species. This lake is located in Palmer Lake, Colorado within easy driving distance of both Colorado Springs and Denver. There are also plenty of hiking opportunities and restaurants in the area to fill the second half of the day.
What to Expect
This is an easily accessible public lake. This means other anglers may be present during the trip. The duration of this trip is four hours, and no meals are included. We do provide some snacks and drinks if desired. Clients can schedule their trip for the hours of 0800-1200, 1200-1600, or 1600-2000.
Gear & Equipment
Fly rods, tackle included; Clients are welcome to bring their own equipment.
Pricing Details
This trip has a flat fee of $50 per angler up to six anglers.
Physical Requirements
Minimal physical exertion is required. Lake is easily accessible.
Permit & Tag Application Process
Clients must hold a valid Colorado fishing license. This can be a day license or annual license so long as it is valid for the date of the trip. Licenses can be purchased online at (url removed) or in person at various retailers. (Walmart, Sportsman's Warehouse, Scheels, Bass Pro Shops, etc)
Terms & Conditions
Cancelation and Refund Policy:
Clients may cancel their trip up to 48 hours before scheduled time without penalty. Trips paid in full are ineligible for refund after departing. Cancelation within 48 hours of scheduled time will forfeit deposit barring exceptional circumstances at Waypoint Outfitters L.L.C sole discretion. Deposit refunds will be furnished in the same manner as originally provided.
